Iditarod countdown
Article Abstract:
The 1992 Iditarod sled dog race will have a $375,000 purse, the largest in its history. The actual length of the race is a subject of controversy, as trail miles measured by snowmobile odometers can be inaccurate. Dogs this year will be feasting on salmon donated by the state of Alaska.
