A commander of the 1st Battalion 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment of the 82nd Airborne Division narrates his experience of the fight he fought. The World War II combat rifleman, from training in the States to fighting in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, depended on his M1 Garand which got him through tough situations and was the most efficient weapon.
