A company that returned remarkable earnings on investments appears on the brink of bankruptcy. J. David & Company presumably made its fabulous returns through a foreign currency operation. The founder and head of the firm, J. David Dominelli, denies the firm is in trouble even though he has made some major changes in the company's operations and changed the fee structure. More importantly, checks from the company have been bouncing. Five lawsuits have been filed by clients to recover their funds.

Article Abstract:

Transmyocardial laser revascularization is a new method of treatment for those with chronic angina that resists traditional management; the method uses a laser to create full-thickness channels through ischemic myocardium. Long-term efficacy of this treatment, which is intended to improve myocardial oxygenation, eliminate or reduce angina and improve functional status, has not been determined. The method is in clinical trials.
