An overview of the economic aspects of the Bering Sea, the potential for exploitation of the region's natural resources and the sea's importance as a biological repository for a vast number of species. Pollock fishing in the Bering Sea generates US$1.5 billion/yr and gas and petroleum prospects have been identified on both sides of the sea.

Article Abstract:
A woman describes her trip to England in search of a breed of hound called a lurcher. She finally finds a breeder in Appleby, Cumbria who has lurcher puppies. She buys a puppy which she names Juno. However the lurcher puppy has to ride in a kennel under the plane during the trans-Atlantic fight.

Dogs across the Bering
Article Abstract:
An experience with bureaucratic red tape in Russia which caused delays during the "Hope '91" dog sled race in Siberia is narrated. The delays, which were aggravated by the organizer's lack of planning, resulted in various inconveniences for the participants in the event.
