Article Abstract:
A group of historians and veterans of Iwo Jima assembled together on site to remember the sacrifice and service of those who fought the closing battle of World War II sixty years after the war. Jeff Hunt, Curator of Collections and Director of Living History for the Museum of the Pacific War, gave credit to all the volunteers who spent months hand-clearing the hillside, building fortifications and setting up fences and roads for the spectators to the event.
