A fractal world of cloistered waves
Article Abstract:
Research into the propagation properties of internal gravity waves has already indicated that, in simple trapezium-shaped containers, wave energy inside the container at a single frequency could converge to an 'attractor' made up of a closed line figure. New research in this area has established that the simplifying concept of the attractor is significant and should encourage further theoretical work and efforts to find more practical applications.

A shot in the arm for fractional charge
Article Abstract:
Scientific research shows that quasiparticles of the fractional quantum Hall effect have a fractional charge. Experiments used a quantum point contact, achieved through pinching together the ends of an electron gas, to create a week tunnelling current. The paths of flowing currents at quantum points are shown. External circuitry noise was filtered out.

Statistics given a spin
Article Abstract:
Quantum mechanics research shows that antiparticles affect the exchanging pathway of particles into a rotating one. Their involvement in spin-statistics, together with the formation of particle-antiparticle pairs is described and illustrated. Equivalent paths in Wave functions are also discussed.
