A frightening device for deterring deer use of cattle feeders
Article Abstract:
A deer-resistant cattle feeder (DRCF) device is designed to deter deer from cattle feed and reduce the risk of transmission of bovine tuberculosis (TB) cattle from infected deer and tested. It is inferred that DRCFs efficiently restrict deer use of cattle feed, probably with minimum influence on feeding pattern of the cattle and thus minimize the risk of transmission of bovine TB through infected feed.

Elk reproductive response to removal of calving season disturbance by humans
Article Abstract:
The reproductive response of elk for two years after cessation of disturbance treatments on the same areas used by Phillips and Alldredge are examined. The findings suggest that human-induced disturbances during parturition periods can reduce reproductive success, and removal of disturbance can allow productivity to recover to pre-disturbance levels

Reproductive success of elk following disturbance by humans during calving season
Article Abstract:
It has been possible to show the potential extent of impact to elk populations from high levels of recreational activity during calving season if people are spread across calving areas. It is important not to overlook the potential impact of human-induced disturbance of elk during calving season.
