Transformation from committed progenitor to leukemia stem cell initiated by MLL-AF9
Article Abstract:
Leukaemia stem cells (LSC) are shown to maintain the global identity of the progenitor from which they came while activating a limited stem cell or self-renewal-associated programme. The results have defined the progression from normal progenitor to cancer stem cell and have suggested that targeting a self-renewal programme expressed in an abnormal context might be possible.

Wnt signalling in stem cells and cancer
Article Abstract:
Canonical Wnt cascade is a critical regulator of stem cell and is also associated with cancer cells. Wnt pathway plays an integral role in maintenance and growth of stem cell as well as cancer cell in the intestinal, epidermal and haematopoietic systems.
