A solar system next door
Article Abstract:
The acceleration of the star Lalande 21185 suggests the presence of planets orbiting the star with periods of several years. The observed and predicted acceleration of Lalande 21185 vary by 6 x 10 to the -5th power arc seconds/year/year, which is much more than the standard error. The difference can be explained by the presence of three planets of masses similar to that of Jupiter with periods of almost 30 years. The existence of the planets may be confirmed by direct observations using a land telescope or the Hubble Space Telescope despite the sun's glare.

No stellar p-mode oscillations in space-based photometry of Procyon
Article Abstract:
The search for p-modes in thirty-two of nearly continuous photometric satellite based observations of Procyon is presented. The Microvariability and Oscillations of Stars (MOST) photometry of procyon has a direct bearing on the target selection as well as upcoming asteroseismology space missions such as COROT.
