A two-way street to science's future
Article Abstract:
Applied computer science plays the role of the 17th century to the 20th century mathematics by providing an orderly, formal framework and exploratory apparatus for other sciences. The growing importance of applied computing has implications for computer science and many challenging problems posed by the modern science helps to focus and motivate research in computing, indicating a two-way link and relation between science and computing.

Null and void
Article Abstract:
It is stated that the process of cancellation of the research due to a negative result could lead to problems, because these data can be recycled for some other analysis or experiments. These issues are explained with some examples from the field of biochemistry, medicine and computer science.

Proof at a roll of the dice
Article Abstract:
An elementary proof is provided for probabilistically checkable proof (PCP), which has revolutionalized the field of approximation algorithms. Irit Dinus has proposed a simple proof for PCP, which is the latest chapter in one of the chronicles of computer science.
