NASA braced for culture shock as Columbia inquiry reaches verdict
Article Abstract:
This article reports the findings of the Columbia Accident Investigation Board published on 26 August 2003, about six months after the loss of the space shuttle Columbia and its crew. The panel findings are highly critical of the US space agency, NASA, but expected to put the agency in the right right track for its future manned space exploration research.

NASA seeks robotic rescuers to give Hubble extra lease of life
Article Abstract:
NASA has decided to stop the astronaut servicing of the Hubble Space Telescope, by bringing forward ideas for robots that could do the job. It is estimated that even after a rocket launch and other technology development thrown in, robotic service would still be cheaper than a shuttle mission.

NASA under pressure to extend Hubble's life
Article Abstract:
The debate about extending the life of the 13-year old Hubble space telescope by NASA before the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is discussed. NASA currently favours a last upgrade for Hubble in 2005, before attaching a rocket booster to the telescope in 2010.
