A unique biomedical resource at risk
Article Abstract:
Chimpanzees continue to play a vital role in the efforts to discover and understand the mechanisms that underlie a wide range of infectious diseases. However to meet the global challenges, it is necessary to establish a renewable and robust national resource of chimpanzees in sufficient numbers to meet the needs of biomedical research.
