Altered embryos offered as solution to stem-cell rift
Article Abstract:
The US lawmakers offered support for legislation that would ease federal restrictions on funding for embryonic stem cell research, which was not in favor of the US president George W. Bush who raised ethical objections on this proposition. However, William Hurlbut, President's Council of Bioethics claimed that scientists create these embryo-like-entities in a process he refers 'alerted nuclear transfer' which they use to create nuclear human embryos from which stem cells can be extracted.
