Requirement for TFIIH kinase activity in transcription by RNA polymerase II
Article Abstract:
Transcription stimulated by the murine dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) promoter requires the phosphorylated form of the carboxy-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II and the TFIIH-induced CTD kinase activity. Phosphorylation of CTD is not necessary for initiation of replication. CTD is phosphorylated by Cdk7, a component of CDK-activating kinase. The antibodies against cyclin H affect transcription only if it is added before preinitiation complex formation.

Tumour invasion and metastasis initiated by microRNA-10b in breast cancer
Article Abstract:
The expression of microRNA-10b (miR-10b) in the metastatic breast cells is discussed. The findings reveal that miR-10b activates the pro-metastatic gene, hence causing tumour cell invasion and metastasis.
