Biodiesel made with sugar catalyst
Article Abstract:
The preparation of a catalyst from common, inexpensive sugars, for the production of diesel from vegetable oil is described. The high-performance, environmentally benign catalyst, which is made up of stable sulphonated amorphous carbon, is recyclable and its activity significantly exceeds that of solid acid catalysts.
