Dislocation-driven surface dynamic on solids
Article Abstract:
The near equilibrium dynamics of surface-terminated dislocations are examined using low energy electron microscopy. The dislocation-mediated surface roughening occurs in the absence of deposition or evaporation.

Moulting arthropod caught in the act
Article Abstract:
The Cambrian soft-bodied arthropod Marrella splendens preserved in the middle of the act of moulting is described. It is stated that the early arthropods moulted during growth.
