Cancer and the homeless cell
Article Abstract:
A mechanism that is related to the identification of a protein that enables cells to survive when they are dislodged from their substrate and migrate to new sites in the body is discovered, which will help in cancer research. It is seen that the new mechanism promotes survival and migration of the cells, thus providing a significant advantage to the tumor cells and new blood vessels.
