Changes in fisheries discard rates and seabird communities
Article Abstract:
In the North Sea, various factors like declining stocks, changes in technical measures and changes in population structure alters the amount of fish discarded. Long-term data sets from the northern North Sea are used to show that there is a direct link between discard availability and discard use by a generalist predator and scavenger.

The cod that got away
