Article Abstract:
Humans have a prolonged, drawn-out growing period, in order to be physically mature, independent and competent and competent adults. There are two arguments on why humans take so long to grow up, one called ecological risk aversion, which means higher family protection permit extended childhood, and the other idea suggests that slow growth allows time for accumulating the huge amount of knowledge needed for an adult brain to function competently.
