Climate and atmospheric history of the past 420,000 years from the Vostok ice core, Antarctica
Article Abstract:
The main features of the more recent Vostok climate cycle have similarities with those seen in earlier cycles. It has been possible to identify a strong connection between atmospheric greenhouse-gas concentrations and Antarctic temperature, along with the strong imprint of obliquity and precession in most of the climate time series. This research supports the view that greenhouse gases have played a strong role in the glacial-interglacial change.

Enhanced ice sheet growth in Eurasia owing to adjacent ice-dammed lakes
Article Abstract:
The high-resolutions simulations with an atmospheric general circulation model that explicitly stimulates the surface mass balance of the ice sheet, is presented. The summer cooling mechanism from proglacial lakes had accelerated the growth of ice sheet and delayed ice sheet decay in Eurasia.

Threatened loss of the Greenland ice-sheet
Article Abstract:
The reason for the elimination of the ice-sheet except that of residual glaciers in Greenland is examined. The land surface is at a lower altitude and reflects less sunlight, which causes the ice to melt and increase in sea level.
