Eros's extended family
Article Abstract:
It has been established that the two largest near-Earth asteroids, 433 Eros and 1036 Ganymed, could be siblings. They may both have originated from a single collision that created a whole group of small asteroids. It is particularly important to understand the family history of Eros, as this Earth-approaching asteroid has been selected as the destination for the Near-Earth Asteroid Rendezvous mission, which is due to arrive there in 1999.

Retrograde spins of near-Earth asteroids from the Yarkovsky effect
Article Abstract:
The fact that the spin vectors of the near-Earth asteroids depict a strong and statistically significant excess of retrograde rotations is reported. It is observed that the spin vectors strongly support the key role of Yarkovsky-induced drift in the injection of main belt asteroids into the resonant regions.

Spin control for asteroids
Article Abstract:
The author discusses random collisions between asteroids which may force spin axes to tilt in different directions. The results demonstrate that thermal re-radiation's gentle recoil force may align their spin axes.
