Predicting expression patterns from regulatory sequence in Drosophila segmentation
Article Abstract:
A thermodynamic model to compute expression patterns as a function of cis-regulatory sequence and of the binding-site preferences and expression of participating transcription factors are described. The model could be used for segmentation gene network of Drosophila melanogaster and other protein-DNA interaction systems.

Gut hormones and the regulation of energy homeostasis
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to examine the role of specific gut hormones in the regulation of energy homeostasis. It is concluded that gut hormones have various physiological functions that include specifically targeting the brain to regulate appetite, and might represent useful targets for future obesity therapies.
