Effects of a golf course on population dynamics of the endangered ortolan bunting
Article Abstract:
The pairing success, residence times, and emigration rates of Norwegian population of male ortolan buntings in the interior and periphery of the golf course and in a neighboring part of undisturbed forest burn are compared. Studies suggest that overall the golf course did not seem to be attractive to ortolan buntings.

Providing reliable and accurate genetic capture-mark-recapture estimates in a cost-effective way
Article Abstract:
Capture-mark-recapture (CMR) estimates are extremely sensitive to identification errors and have the potential for large biases associated with these errors. It is contended that scientific norms require formal tests for demonstrating the absence of errors and anecdotal evidence would not suffice.
