The molecular choreography of a store-operated calcium channel
Article Abstract:
Genetic approaches are used to identify genes encoding the endoplasmic reticulum [Ca.sup.2+] sensor and a prototypic store-operated calcium channel, the [Ca.sup.2+] channel. The analysis has disclosed a unique mechanism for channel activation.
