Dimers of the N-terminal domain of phytochrome B are functional in the nucleus
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on phytochrome polypeptide which consists of amino-terminal photosensory and carboxy-terminal domains. The authors demonstrate that phytochrome B C-terminal domain is not involved in signal transduction, and that N-terminal domain triggeres phytochrome B responses with much higher photosensitivity.
