Distribution and habitat use of Ross's and lesser snow geese during late brood rearing
Article Abstract:
The spatial distribution and habitat use of Ross's and lesser snow geese during late brood rearing are examined to facilitate habitat monitoring and study foraging ecology. Results recommend inclusion of freshwater habitats with coastal salt marshes for modeling populations of these light geese.

Spatiotemporal heterogeneity of greater snow goose harvest and implications for hunting regulations
Article Abstract:
Band-recovery and harvest survey data from 1970 to 2001 is used to study temporal variations in geographic harvest distribution and composition of greater snow geese. Change in harvest rate has shown to be closely related to population growth of greater snow geese.

A complete species census and evidence for regional declines in piping plovers
Article Abstract:
An International Piping Plover Breeding and Winter Census were conducted throughout the species range in the year 2001. While the results indicated an 8.4% increase from the year 1991, only a 0.2% increase since 1996 was reported.
