Using partitioned mahalanobis D(super 2)(k) to formulate a GIS-based model of timber rattlesnake hibernacula
Article Abstract:
A method to translate the probability surface into a qualitative data layer useful in making management decisions is presented by examining the cumulative distributions of the percentages of hibernacula correctly classified and the study area predicted. The probability threshold that maximized the predictive gain by including the greatest number of hibernacula in the smallest area is selected.

Population density-physical condition relationships in white-tailed deer
Article Abstract:
Management of white-tailed deer populations is important because of the popularity this species could cause for sport hunting and the ecological and economic damage. Managers traditionally have collected data from hunter-harvested deer to provide information for making these harvests management decisions.

Population genetics of Gunnison sage-grouse: Implications for management
Article Abstract:
Mitochondrial DNA sequence data and data from 8 nuclear microsatellites is used for assessing the extent of population subdivision among Gunnison sage-grouse populations. The conservation plans should include monitoring and maintaining genetic diversity.
