Drug assay using antibody mimics made by molecular imprinting
Article Abstract:
Molecular imprinting on polymers to make them mimic antibodies can be used in drug assays, is a cheaper process and the polymers are less delicate and so do not require special handling. A comparison of the accuracy between molecularly imprinted sorbent assay and the traditional enzyme-multiplied immunoassay techniques shows excellent correlation. One disadvantage is that the imprinting technique requires extra steps: extraction, incubation and handling of radioactive materials.

Protein crystal mimics reality
Article Abstract:
Issues are presented concerning the three-dimensional crystallization of the protein flagellin which is located in the flagellar motor of bacteria. The structure of the flagellum and its physiological properties are discussed.

Co-mimics have a mutualistic relationship despite unequal defences
Article Abstract:
A study conducted to determine the association between unequally defended co-mimic species indicates the relationship between the species to be mutualistic.
