Dunking behavior in Carib grackles
Article Abstract:
The dunking rates in Carib grackles in the wild are characterized and the effects of food characteristics like dryness and dirtiness, as well as the effects of kleptoparasitism and conspecific density are examined. The study shows that dunking is part of the normal behavioral repertoire of Carib grackles in Barbados, and that the low frequency of the behavior in the field is more likely to result from the balance of costs and benefits affecting its expression.

Behavioral flexibility predicts species richness in birds, but not extinction risk
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to test the behavioral drive hypothesis by examining the link between behavioral flexibility and the number of species per taxon. The result indicates that behavioral flexibility predicts richness, but not extinction risk in birds.

Problem solving and neophobia in a columbiform-passeriform assemblage in Barbados
Article Abstract:
Research describing the comparative responses of Passeriform and Columbiform birds to neophobia and problem solving is presented. In all the measures tested the Passeriforms outperformed the Columbiforms.
