Effect of hypoxia on opercular displays: Evidence for an honest signal?
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to test the hypothesis that the opercular display functions to honestly convey information about physiological condition, by measuring the duration and frequency of opercular displays made by fish. Result is consistent with the hypothesis that opercular displays provide an honest indication of current physiological condition.

The net effects of guarding on egg survivorship in the flagfish, Jordanella floridae
Article Abstract:
The effect of a male guarding on egg survival in the flagfish, a species in which the parental care is a relatively new concept is investigated. The fitness consequences of a major component of parental care when secondary adaptations to care are likely to be minimal are characterized.

The foraging and antipredator behavior of growth-enhanced transgenic Atlantic salmon
Article Abstract:
Growth enhanced transgenic Atlantic salmon were used to test the hypothesis that relative growth rates should be correlated with willingness to risk exposure to a predator. The results suggest that their growth rates may be optimized by the risk of predation.
