End of the acid reign?
Article Abstract:
Stoddard and colleagues have reported that the chemistry of surface waters shows signs of a reversal of the acidification process. They assess chemical trends from 1980 to 1985 and examined regional differences in the trends. The observed recovery suggest that the international legislation is having a positive effect on the natural environment, but there is no clear evidence of biological recovery.
