Enhancing semiconductor device performance using ordered dopant arrays
Article Abstract:
The semiconductor devices in which both the number and position of the dopant atoms are precisely controlled are fabricated using single-ion implementation technique, which helps in implanting dopant ions one-by-one into a fine semiconductor region until desired number is reached. The results highlight the improvement in device performance that can be achieved through atomic-scale control of the doping process.

Building better batteries
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the development of new technologies and batteries that can be easily used to operate various portable, as well as non-portable devices. The findings show that the lithium-ion batteries can be extremely beneficial in providing a clean and sustainable source of energy, as compared to the presently used internal-combustion engines.
