Evaluating temporal and spatial margins of safety in galahs
Article Abstract:
A study is conducted to find out that species such as galahs-Cacatua roseicapilla, an Australian parrot, maintain a temporal margin of safety and therefore, monitor the expected time a predator would take to reach them. There is no support for the temporal margin of safety hypothesis and galas are sensitive to distance in a novel way and the result differs from traditional margins of spatial margins of safety as it suggest that animals take flight after being approached to within half the alert distance.

Individual, age and sex-specific information is contained in yellow-bellied marmot alarm calls
Article Abstract:
The individually distinctive calls of yellow-bellied marmots, Marmota flaviventris, were analyzed to describe the attributes of individuals, such as identity, age and sex, encoded in calls. The statistics developed to describe the information about individual signalers contained in vocalizations showed that marmot alarm calls contained at least 3.37 bits of information about identity.

Response of foraging sheep to variability in the spatial distribution of resources
Article Abstract:
Sheep could use spatial memory at small spatial scales to improve foraging tactics efficiency where resource distribution is predictable. The ability to switch between foraging tactics might allow sheep to maintain foraging success under variable conditions.
