Generation time and temporal scaling of bird population dynamics
Article Abstract:
The density of total density dependence in the life history and the magnitude of environmental stochasticity, including transient fluctuations in age structure increase with generating time are examined. The results indicate that the relationship between demographic and life history traits in birds translate into distinct population dynamical patterns that are apparent only on a scale of generation.

Evolution driven by differential dispersal within a wild bird population
Article Abstract:
The evolutionary theory forecasts that the general group divergence will be based on the equilibrium among the expansion influence of selection and the general influence of the flow of genes. The statistics indicate that when the movement of genes is not normal the evolutionary differentiation can be instant and it can take place over mini spatial scales.

Climate change and population declines in a long-distance migratory bird
Article Abstract:
Phenological responses to climate change differ across trophic levels, which leads to birds failing to breed at the time of maximal food abundance. Evidence is provided to show that mistiming as a result of climate, which is a widespread phenomenon, can lead to population declines.
