Experimental observation of the quantum Hall effect and Berry's phase in graphene
Article Abstract:
An experimental investigation is conducted on quantum-mechanically enhanced transport phenomena of electrons such as the quantum Hall effect in a high-mobility single layer of graphene. An unusual half-integer quantum Hall effect for both electron and hole carriers in graphene is observed by adjusting the chemical potential with the use of electric field effect and the relevance of Berry's phase to the experiments is confirmed by magneto-oscillations.

A missing phase found at last?
Article Abstract:
Root like molecules in liquid crystals, organize themselves such that their long axes are aligned, which is called a biaxial nematic phase. Existence of another nematic phase is researched.
