Fair's fair
Article Abstract:
People in real life do not always act solely in their own interests. A new study at the University of Bonn indicates that if people are supposed to give a reward in exchange for a favor, the reward that they offer will in fact be reduced if that reward is given under compulsion. In other words, people are more generous if they are not forced to be generous.

Asymmetric pores in a silicon membrane acting as massively parallel brownian ratchets
Article Abstract:
Research demonstrates that application of a periodic pressure of zero mean value to a basin separated by a macroporous silicon membrane, a rachet device containing one-dimensional pores, induces a periodic flow of water and particles through the pores but yielding a net motion of the particles without moving the liquid itself.
