Fur's dirty dozen
Article Abstract:
In November 2000, animal rights activists demonstrated in more than 20 US cities against the use of fur in fashion. Animal activists are concerned that, despite their years of protest, the sales of fur rose from $1 billion to $1.4 billion from 1991 to 1999. A list is presented of major stores that sell fur or fur-trimmed items.
