Genetic Differences between Wild and Artificial Populations of Metasequoia glyptostroboides: Implications for Species Recovery
Article Abstract:
Research indicates that although the distribution range and quantity of dawn redwood have been restored, the species' genetic structure has not been adequately recovered. Recommendations include establishing additional ex situ genetic reserves for this species.

Regional Consequences of Local Population Demography and Genetics in Relation to Habitat Management in Gentiana pneumonanthe
Article Abstract:
Research emphasizes the importance of regional dynamics in conservation efforts when decreased population size and habitat fragmentation result in a decrease of local genetic diversity. The perennial herb Gentiana pneumonanthe is used as illustration.
