Habitat use and movements of repatriated Wyoming toads
Article Abstract:
Research on Wyoming's Mortenson Lake indicates that the most accurate logistic regression predictors of juvenile and adult toad populations is distance to shore and surface temperature. Juveniles were found closer to the shoreline than adults, and juveniles preferred slightly warmer mean surface temperatures. Both adults and juveniles preferred saturated substrates.

Multiscale habitat selection by burrowing owls in black-tailed prairie dog colonies
Article Abstract:
A study is done to measure spatial patterns of burrowing owl breeding habitat selection with the black-tailed prairie dog colonies due to declining western burrowing owls. Results suggest actions to ensure persistence of the remaining prairie dog colonies as an important management strategy for burrowing owl conservation in the Great Plains of North America.

Greater sage-grouse nesting habitat selection and success in Wyoming
Article Abstract:
Population and distributional declines of greater sage-grouse throughout North America might be related to nesting habitat degradation and its negative effect on nesting success. Radiotelemetry is used to locate greater sage-grouse nests in different areas of central and southwestern Wyoming between 1994 and 2002.
