Heavy metal meets its match
Article Abstract:
Steve Gullick finds finds a way to catch poachers in the wilderness with use of metal detectors. He created a device that can detects metals in, guns, knives, snares and ammunition. The device is made up of a seven feet metal sensor that can be hidden within common poaching paths, and a signal travels via antenna and then transmitted to park offcials who then can alert forest rangers where poachers are and their number.

The Gulf of Farallones National Marine Sanctuary attracts visitors because of its white shark tourism. In the world, California was first to ban fishing for great white sharks but no regulations on shark tourism. Scientists, tour operators and government officials are now making efforts to maintain the tours, marine research, and shark population healthy.
