Heritable variation in polyandry in Callosobruchus chinensis
Article Abstract:
The frequency of female remating in 10 strains of the aduzki bean beetle, Callosobruchus chinensis, and the crosses between populations of high and low remating frequencies are compared to investigate the mode of inheritance of polyandry. Result indicates that polyandry can evolve in response to the selection in C. chinensis.
