bicoid RNA localization requires specific binding of an endosomal sorting complex
Article Abstract:
The mutants in all the subunits of the endosomal sorting complex required for transport (ESCRT-II) complex have abolished the final Staufen-dependent step in bicoid mRNA localization. The results have indicated that ESCRT-II is required for the anterior localization of bicoid mRNA and is a sequence-specific RNA-specific RNA-binding complex that recognizes the bicoid localization signal.

A genome-wide transgenic RNAi library for conditional gene inactivation in Drosophila
Article Abstract:
A report on the generation and validation of a genome wide library where transgenic RNA-mediated gene interference (RNAi) strains will be available to conduct systematic RNAi screens targeted to specific cell types in the intact animal is provided.
