Ten ways to fix the Endangered Species Act
Article Abstract:
A professional wildlife biologist describes ten ways by which the Endangered Species Act (ESA) can be made stronger so that it can prevent the endangered and threatened species from becoming extinct. The participation of landowners in the recovery process, using multispecies planning, developing recovery plans within one year of the listing of species as endangered, and establishing specific listing and delisting criteria are some of the steps which would ensure the smooth and efficient working of the ESA.
