That's not a bug ... it's a feature

Product defects are part and parcel of product design and development by humans. Today's technical glitch might likely become tomorrow's feature. The really good designers are those who can transform a technical problem into an advantage. Some designers from New York, NY, to Silicon Valley in California have suggested that their colleagues might pass off product defects pointed out by customers as being part of the product's features, or as an added feature which is being given to the client, for free.

Johannes A. van Paradijs (1946-99)
Article Abstract:
Astrophysicist Johannes van Paradijs began studying physics, mathematics and astronomy at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 1963, graduating in 1970. He undertook his PhD research on the structure and chemical composition of cool giant stars, and then became involved in research into binary X-ray sources. In 1975, he was able to measure the first ever mass of a neutron star: Vela X-1. From 1977 to 1979, he worked at MIT. In 1978, he discovered the first optical flash from an X-ray burst.
