Latitudinal gradient of atmospheric CO2 due to seasonal exchange with land biota
Article Abstract:
A full atmospheric general circulation model with optimized presentation of turbulent mixing near the ground surface used to study carbon dioxide transport revealed that the inter-hemispheric gradient of atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration created by the fossil-fuel emissions is twice as strong as that by seasonal terrestrial biota. The possibility of the presence of stronger sinks of atmospheric CO2 than believed earlier in the northern hemisphere is discussed.

Evidence for the importance of bubbles in increasing air-sea gas flux
Article Abstract:
The results obtained from a dissolved-gas sensor vertical array and other instruments during one storm event provide support for the theory that wave-generated bubbles are involved in sea-air gas flux. The existing transfer coefficients were also shown to be underestimates based on the data during bubble penetration periods. This experiment reveals the importance of near-surface oceanography in the study of ocean-air interactions.

The Indonesian valve
Article Abstract:
Research examining changes in climate patterns on Earth is presented. Particular attention is given to the region of Africa, the Indian and the Pacific Oceans. The effects of the ocean water consistency on the weather changes are emphasized.
