Article Abstract:
Riparian habitat in California is one of the most endangered wildlife habitats in the state. The Sacramento Valley has lost more than 95% of its riparian habitat since 1900. Restoration effort is underway to bring more migratory birds to this habitat. Similar effort is also being made in Oregon, which has resulted in restored streams through management of cattle grazing on public lands.
