Melted by mistakes
Article Abstract:
Experiments for demonstrating that polymers from which moulded shoesoles are made could assemble themselves into two-dimensional repeating structures accurately enough to create materials for certain magnetic and semiconductor applications for understanding of the ordering processes of certain polymers, is presented. A theory that the melting of two-dimensional crystals results from heat-induced defects in their structures is tested.

Trapped gas
Article Abstract:
A porous hybrid solid that retain the gas acetylene is characterized which itself is a key material in the chemical and electronics industries, at room temperature and pressure, but adsorbs carbon dioxide only at high pressures and low temperatures. Work on gas adsorption, the capacity of a solid to bind foreign gas molecules to its surface provides useful results for methane and hydrogen.
