MicroRNAs act sequentially and asymmetrically to control chemosensory laterality in the nematode
Article Abstract:
A study conducted finds that a mutation in the die-1 zinc-finger transcription factor disrupts both the chemosensory laterality and left/right asymmetric expression of chemoreceptor genes in the ASE neurons. An inverse distribution of two sequentially acting miRNAs in two bilaterally symmetric neurons controls laterality of the nematode chemosensory system.

Genes that act downstream of DAF-16 to influence the lifespan of Caenorhabditis elegans
Article Abstract:
Ageing process is regulated hormonally. DAF-16, a FOXO-family transcription factor, influences the rate of ageing of Caenorhabditis elegans in response to insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I) signalling.
