The US Department of Justice confirms the partial validity of the charges that Microsoft's commercial dealings are aimed at undermining competition, thereby forcing the company's commercial contracts to be externally supervised. The courts should focus more on legitimate complaints on illicit business practices instead of unnecessarily worrying about Microsoft's success coveted by its competitors.

The dialogue between races in the US is always attempted when an unspeakable atrocity has occurred. By that time dialogue and healing are again too late. Several accounts of racial friction in the US are recounted. As long as the myths that have obscured truth in the nation remain, dialogue will not come.

The chain gang show: humiliating prisoners, for political profit
Article Abstract:
Alabama, Florida and Arizona reinstituted the chain gang workforce in 1995 amid much publicity. Corrections officers and politicians believe the chain gang will humiliate prisoners enough to prevent them from committing crimes, but the prisoners say the action will make them hate, not rehabilitate.
