Mobility of photosynthetic complexes in thylakoid membranes
Article Abstract:
Photosynthesis research has established that accessory light-harvesting complexes in the cyanobacteria Dactylococcopsis salina achieve fast lateral diffusion. Scanning confocal microscope and fluorescence recovery experiments indicate that the regulation of photosynthetic light-harvesting in thylakoid membranes is related to the lateral diffusion process. Diffusion coefficients for phycobilisomes in a number of cells are shown.

Mobility promotes and jeopardizes biodiversity in rock-paper-scissors games
Article Abstract:
The critical influence of mobility on species diversity is examined. The results have important implications for maintenance and temporal development of ecological systems and are relevant for the formation and propagation of patterns in microbial populations or excitable media.

Ratings games
Article Abstract:
Performance of researchers in the future can be judged with the help of two new rating games, which would reflect an individuals achievement. These rating games are based upon numerical measures to assess researchers achievements.
